Carlo, Francesco, Giordano and Loco have always been friends, a friendship born at the stadium where the four have always followed their team of hearts: Rome. Loco is a “Tersilli” doctor who is unhappily married with a witch and is prone to the occasional conquest; Francesco is an architect who dreams of being a rock star and is about to marry his girlfriend; Giordano is the son of two bartenders, fans of Lazio the arch nemesis of the Roma football team, and is afraid of his shadow; and Carlo is a lawyer with a secret to hide, even to his dearest and closest friends. Together they are preparing to make a trip to Madrid which is also the farewell to Francesco’s celibacy: the vehicle is an old Volkswagen coach, and the spirit is totally goliardic but above all, as it has already happened other times, a trip together. Their path crosses that of Pilar, a beautiful Spanish singer who, unknowingly, brings confusion within a tight group, favoring the emergence of doubts and differences. What they do not know is that this trip to Spain will mark the crossing of a shadow line and will anticipate a turning point in the lives of all four.
